Established in 1956 by William F. Hand, the company's metal finishing division is the largest outside processor of orthopedic metal finishing in the United States.

• WaveOne Enterprises, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary, provides web hosting services to an international client base and wireless Internet connectivity to individuals and businesses in the local community. In 1999, WaveOne helped link the local school system's 15 elementary and secondary schools to the Internet using cutting-edge microwave technology.
